FDA Issues Recall for 2.5 Million Cases of Granola Bars Over Contamination Risk

In a recent announcement, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revealed that Riverside Natural Foods Inc. is recalling nearly 2.5 million cases of MadeGood granola bars due to potential metal contamination. This recall has been classified as a Class 2 recall, meaning the product could cause “temporary or medically reversible health consequences,” according to the FDA.

The Chicago-based company stated that the contamination may have originated from a small, flat brush bristle used during the manufacturing process. In response, MadeGood has offered to refund any products listed in the recall.
