Cabbage and Ground Beef: A Simple, One-Pan Meal

- 1 small cabbage, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp bouillon powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
1. Cook the Ground Beef
- Place the ground beef in a large pan or cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Break up the meat with a wooden spoon and cook until browned.
2. Add Aromatics
- Push the cooked beef to one side of the pan.
- Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the empty side. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
3. Incorporate Tomatoes and Spices
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and add the bouillon powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and salt.
- Stir everything together and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
