Low Carb Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Toppings:
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/4 cup chopped dill pickles (optional, for garnish)
    • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Step 2: Cook the Beef

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5–6 minutes).
  2. Add the chopped onion, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for an additional 3–4 minutes until the onion is softened.
  3. Drain any excess fat and remove from heat.

Step 3: Assemble the Casserole

  1. Spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the beef.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, and mustard until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the beef and bacon.
  5. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 4: Bake the Casserole

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is set.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  1. Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before slicing.
  2. Garnish with chopped dill pickles and fresh parsley, if desired.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!
